New things!

I have still been trying to get things for Finn's room ready so me, Mom, and Finn went to the Furniture Land South Outlet store yesterday to look at furniture. I didn't find any furniture that I liked and could afford but, they have this little Cottage area that has rustic and old looking furniture and accessories that I LOVE!! I bought a blue tray that I was going to put on Finn's dresser but I found another place for it, so I am sending Mom back to get another one!

That table I found at a store in High Point (HP is known for furniture) that was going out of Business. I just re-upholstered the seats and it turned out so cute! I love finding things that are not so cute and making them look good.

I have also been looking for a lamp for my living room and finally found just the right one! By the way, the yellow table my Mom got me at a yard sale for 2 dollars I think. Now I am in a re-decorating mood and I am changing things around! If I could just get new couches and get rid of the yucky leather ones I would be so happy! They are really comfy but so ugly!!

Monday I go for my ultrasound and I am excited and nervous all together. Just please say a prayer for us! I am going to have a gender party Monday night, if I can hold out all day and not tell anyone!!

18 Months and New Room!!

Happy 18 months to Finn and Harper today! I can't believe that Finn is already 18 months. He is changing so much everyday. Jared and I were sitting in the floor playing with him the other night and talking about how his look is changing. He has been such a good child and such a blessing to us. He can be a bully at times, throw his fits, be very stubborn, but for the most part he has been the sweetest little boy! I will be happy if we have another boy just like him, BUT a girl would be fun to!!

I think we have decided to go ahead and move Finn into a big boy bed! I'm not sure if I am ready for the getting up and down at night, but we do have a good night routine that we have done since day one. So I think that will help! It's going to be something that we will have to go through sooner or later and I just don't want to buy another crib!

So, with that being said I will show you what I have in mind for his room! I had seen this room in the Pottery Barn Kids magazine and I really liked it for Finn.

Of course they are out of this bedding in the size I need. So I found a quilt at Target that I like and I'm going to pair it with some of these things from PB.

I'm going to make it have a rustic look. I'm not one on having a theme for a room, I just like having all different things. Now I just have to find a bedroom set that I like and figure out what color to paint his room! I find out what I am having on August 2nd so then I can start planning that room to! This next week will probably go by sooo slow!!

Need advice!!

I am trying to get my thoughts together for the next few months. What I need to buy for the new baby and etc. I can't decide if I need to go ahead and get a big boy bed for Finn and move him into that, or get a crib that converts into a bed and keep him in the crib until I am good and ready to move him.  I think he will do fine either way but I am a little nervous about moving him into a big bed. I know I can put rails on it but I am afraid he will roll off during the night. Also, I love that I can put him in there and him stay and not get up and down (and I know in a big bed he will do that!!). I just don't know what to do.

Please give me some suggestions of what age and when you moved your kids to a big bed.

1. I love the Young and the Restless! I look forward to it everyday and if I miss it I watch it on the computer. I have been watching Y&R for a long long time. My Grandparents watch it and I remember watching it when I was younger and stayed over there. I am just waiting on Sharon and Nick to get back together!!

2. All I listen to these days on the radio is Christian music and love Third Day. I like a bunch of groups but I always go back to Third Day. They are awesome!

3. I could kiss and hug Finn all day long.

4. I am really counting down the days until our ultrasound. I most importantly want to make sure everything is ok, but I am ready to find out what we are having to! I am ready to get everything ready and it's just hard to plan without knowing.

5. I could eat Subway every day. Luckily we have one right down the road with a drive thru!

6. I look forward to Jared coming home every day. I miss him during the day. Even when he drives me crazy I still like having him around.

7.  I am a procrastinator and very forgetful these days.
